A mother and three children were killed when fire swept through this three-family home. The fire started on the second floor. 11 people made it out of the house alive.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The Thach family left Vietnam for the United States four years ago to find a better life, but their roots remained a big part of their lives in their tight-knit community, a friend said.
