Mutual aid to the Town of Shelton
Rescue 5, Engine 1 with the Collapse Trailer, and BC-1 were sent to 23 Bruce Drive in Shelton for a worker trapped in a trench. The Bridgeport resident was working in a trench with no shoring when it caved in and trapped him under 11 feet of soil. He died on the scene and extrication took 4 hours.
