45 Sampson St (Lewis-2)

The second working fire of the day was again a Lewis box. First-in Engine 12 had fire showing from four windows on the first floor. Seldom seen in the City of Frames, this two-family was type III construction. That feature and drywall-on-plaster interior walls kept the fire to the first floor unit with only smoke and fire department damage on the second floor.
One firefighter was briefly incapacitated after he got an eyelash in his eye, but AMR ambulance personnel treated the injury and he was able to return to work imediately. (Contributed Ambo-Cam photo.)
