Heavy fire 1st floor in an occupied 2- story frame. Extension to third floor of 2-1/2 story frame on the "D" side. One adult civilian fatality.

News 12: Elderly woman dies after fire rips through two Bridgeport homes 02/09/06) BRIDGEPORT - An elderly woman died in a house fire that spread to a neighboring home in Bridgeport Wednesday. The fire began in a two-story home on Putnam Street and spread to a three-story home next door. Fire crews located the woman’s body on the first floor of the home where the fire started. Fire officials say both structures were severely damaged. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and an arson squad has been called in.
