"Fire showing out a couple of windows" on arrival by Truck 5. (It was) a cellar fire in an occupied 2-1/2 story two-family with extension to the first and second floors. The normally assigned 2nd-due truck company was bypassed for one that was 1.25 miles further away from this blaze.

BRIDGEPORT — Two firefighters were injured and four adults left homeless when fire raced up a wall in a balloon-frame home in the city's Hollow section late Tuesday, causing $100,000 in damage.
