BRIDGEPORT, Conn. --Two city men were killed early Thursday when their car struck three other vehicles and crashed head-on into a tanker truck while traveling the wrong way in Interstate 95 in Bridgeport, state police said. Troopers shut down the northbound lanes of the highway for about six hours, causing a traffic jam that stretched miles. State police said it's not clear why the men were driving southbound in the northbound lanes at about 2:30 a.m. Authorities believe the compact car drove onto the highway on the off ramp of either Exit 30 or Exit 29 and crashed near Exit 28. The driver was identified Raymond Morales and the passenger was Juan Villanueva, News-12 Connecticut reported. Both were 20 years old and from Bridgeport. None of the people in the three cars and tanker truck were seriously injured, police said. State police said they were waiting for test results that would show whether alcohol or drugs were a factor. Autopsies were also planned.
