BRIDGEPORT — The former Mechanics & Farmers Bank building, a downtown landmark being used as a movie set this week, was damaged in an early-morning fire.

Seaview and Barnum Aves
Bridgeport (WTNH) Barnum Avenue is closed between Seaview and Central Avenues due to a gas leak. The leak was reported just after 2pm and has also halted MetroNorth trains between Stratford and Bridgeport for about an hour and a half. There are no evacuations at this time and there is no word what caused the leak.
